PREVIOUS BAC CHILDREN’S POTTERY CAMPS

Students learn hand building techniques including coil, pinchpot and slab, glazing and wheel-throwing.
" Miss Jane" teaches pottery to all ages. She excels with children and has had a successful after school program this year. Her students will learn hand building techniques including coil, pinchpot and slab. Students will learn to use glazes, the extruder and slab-roller. Older students will learn the use of the "wheel".

At the end of the 2week session, parents, etc. are invited to a "reception" and awards to view their child's work. This is a big moment for the children and we encourage your attendance.

PREVIOUS BAC CHILDREN'S ARTS CAMPS

The exciting projects for this year's Creative Arts Camp include constructing Colonial weathervanes, self portraits, wild wind kites, and polymer clay funky bottles.

Students will explore printing methods with various gadgets and raised cardboard and tye-dye art. Paper projects will include marbling , paper mache masks, and using crepe paper in mixed media projects. Beautiful mosaic treasure boxes will be constructed using stones and old jewelry. Techniques of sponging, brush techniques and various media exploration will be used on keepsakes that will always bring back fond memories of this summer art experience.
Cartooning and photography will be combined in hand-tinting your own photograph and transforming it into a cartoon character.

This wonderful program is geared to developing young creative talent into a lifelong love of the arts and providing a foundation of basic art knowledge and use of various media.
