In 2001 the Chalk Walk was added to the festivities of Beauty and the Beach. It was a tremendously exciting event and continues to be so. Artists decorate the street with 8'x8' chalk and pastel paintings. The "artists" may be children from local schools, professional artists, families, friends, or just anyone who would like to undertake the challenge of creating art in a 8' x 8' square in Bay Palm Boulevard. People throng the streets to watch art come alive before their eyes.

The Chalk Walk is sponsored by local individuals and businesses.
