Learn the basics of watercolor!
THIS IS A TRUE BEGINNER CLASS IN THE BASICS OF WATERCOLOR. Watercolor is beautiful and fluid. Deb will guide you every step of the way from putting your image onto paper to completing a painting worthy of framing. Each class is geared for those who have always wanted to learn watercolor methods but were afraid to try.
See the supply list for this class. BUY GOOD PAPER! Buy good paint! I can't stress this enough. Paper should be 100% cotton rag, cold press, preferable Arches 140lb paper. Michael's sells a 3 pack of paper that will get you 12 paintings. Paint should be professional grade, not student grade. NO drawing skills are needed. All methods are step-by-step with lots of one on one instruction. Most classes will complete one painting per session. Classes are 4 week sessions

Meet your Instructor...
Join this award winning artist as she guides you through the basics of watercolor. Deb has been a member of the Beach Art Center since 2016 and has taught beginner watercolor classes, workshops, and kid's camp. Deb loves color! Her vibrant approach to painting is not only fun but easy to learn. Deb is married and lives in Largo with her husband Jim and their fur babies, Dexter, Mazie and Louie. Deb has 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Her family and pets are often the muses for her paintings.
Classes Policy
All fees associated with classes are non-refundable once the class has started. In the event a registrant needs to change or cancel their registration, the registrant should use the link provided in the confirmation email to reschedule to a future class. If the student needs to cancel for a refund prior to the start of class you must contact the Beach Art Center as far in advance as possible. Any agreement to cancel or transfer a registration after the class has taken place is made at the sole discretion of the instructor.
Beach Art Center reserves the right to cancel classes if minimums are not met or for any other reason relevant to business needs. In the event of a cancellation initiated by Beach Art Center, the registrant will be rescheduled or will receive a full refund. Beach Art Center does not hold credits on account for future use.
